An Overarching Approach
In the previous pages we collected as many checkpoints as possible to find out the life form (Ascendant) and the personality (Moon) of the born one. However, if we want to understand the birth constellation as a given, we must also include the third factor, namely the Sun.
The Innate Sun
Considering that the Sun is the actual representative of the center, we may wonder why someone was born with the Sun in this or that particular sun sign.
This is a unique question. After all, help and advice can also be obtained elsewhere on the themes elaborated for this (talents, possibilities of expression and personality structure). The statements of the astrologer can possibly also be placed next to these advice. However, when, beyond all these appearances, we want to connect someone with the original within themselves, the question of the exile of the solar principle becomes relevant. This question lies with the astrologer alone.
Picturing
In this context, the drawing below wants to give a impression of the (be it voluntary or not) exile that this Solar Principle in the (finer and coarser matter) faces and enters into. This text given earlier (10.2.a) is supplemented here with some clues that can give an impression and be a guideline (no more than that) for the "understanding" of a particular horoscope.
Incarnation
In this way the drawing wants to give an idea of the abstract Solar Principle that goes into incarnation and, after being wrapped in his subtler bodies, is born therein, lands in the material field. If we want to connect someone with this essential aspect in him or herself, this portayal can help in his orientation. Although naming this essence in detail can not always be reached, the idea of this Solar Principle behind him or her can be helpfull for the self-identification of the born one.
Self-creation - Singing ones Name
For readers familiar with the concept of (re-) incarnation, the representation below can give an impression of the descent of the spirit into matter that sings out itself, calls its name. On the one hand, this vibration continues around the circumference in an ever-widening spiral to the areas of ever-denser matter and, on the other, it throws itself straight into the center of the incarnation that remains unmanifest.
The spiral creates the domain of the Moon, while in the vertical projection, independent of the Moon, anchors the ruler of the Ascendant.
In both movements the Ego expresses itself. Certain trends can be observed here.

By means of the spiral of these egoically sung vibrations the successive planes are formed in finer matter to finally incarnate in the Ascendant point on the concrete physical plane. In the same cast, the Ego anchors itself in the middle as a representative of the person's inalienable identity. |
The spiral movement realizes the realm of the Moon, while the vertical projection, being independant of that Moonsphere, is managed by the ruler of the Ascendant.
In the horoscope the Pars Fortunae indicates the direction in which the person can get connected to this objective, representative, central point.
Withholding
Sometimes it happens, as is said (*), that the Ego tries to withhold, to delay its descent, because it shrinks from the prospect of a life fixed and bound in matter. During earthly life this can work through as an attitude to life in the form of not participating and only looking at things, keeping a (philosophical) distance, projecting oneself into ideals, beliefs, or overseas projects, also floating in an own dream world or fanning out to a parallel reality (internet or drugs). With sufficient unifying power, they can identify themselves with physical reality in their vision, inspire others from their ideals and perspectives and become a guiding compass for them. However, their (philosophical) distance to a life down to earth remains a form of self-preservation that prevents them from also allowing (raw) facts into their lives. Fear also plays a role here.
When, in the second instance, the focus of the person collects and the participation as a will to live continues, the imagined projects can actually be tackled and realized.
Touchstones for interpretation
The influences of Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune can be checked here for practical horoscopes. In addition, a fanning out, diverging Moon (22.18) can play a role in this. The structure of the cycle 3-6-9-12 as a whole is also shown here, with the contribution of the 9th and 12th houses in particular.
Persevere
In addition, a strong desire in the Ego can occur to participate in this sublunary life and also to consume it. Sometimes the eager to throw-out runs too fast and misses the target, the Ascendant point. This "rapid passing" of reality is based on a more condensed I-function and on the focus on oneself alone. In addition to a rapid digestion of food and willingness to take action, we see an overall tendency to consume (instead of enjoy) life. In this craving, the regard for a sensible way of life, one's own health is often neglected. Moreover insufficient space for others can be overlooked. Here is a tendency to (self) harm, which in more extreme cases can (unconsciously) lead to a drive for death.
When, in the second instance, the cohesion of the whole as a transcending reality is recognized, the strong focus can function as a beacon and support for others and serve as a basis for their self-realization.
Touchstones for interpretation
The influences of Sun, Mars, Saturn and Uranus are recognizable here, as is the contribution of the 5th and 8th houses in addition to that of the cycle 2-5-8-11 as a whole.
Realization of the Ascendant point
Finally, it is of course also possible that there is a clear awareness in the Ego to want to participate in the field of actual manifestation, to express oneself in it and also to identify with it. The conscious singing of one's own name and a carefully planned "landing" can result in a fertile connection with reality, the Ascendant point. We then speak of identification in oneness. In this, the ruler of the Ascendant is consciously deployed for an objective contribution to the environment, which also continues to function when the provider himself is not involved (anymore) in it in person. If the self-preservation is too strict, too little room is left for the continuously changing of the factual reality. This can lead to a tendency towards neurotic behavior.
Touchstones for interpretation
The influences of Sun, Saturn, Venus and Pluto can be recognized here, whereby the structure of the 1-4-7-10 (28.7) as a whole, with special attention to the 1-7 relationship, can also be taken into account.
Balance
We often see a combination of the first two tendencies in one person: where one part of the person holds back, another part of it continues. This can provide a workable balance for inner stability.
Touchstones for interpretation
The aspect ratio on the incoming and outgoing arc can also be viewed for this.
For the third tendency, that of the realization of the Ascendant point, there is no counterpart. It is true that it can happen in a person's life that he or she temporarily loses connection with this point, "falls off". It can then help to go on a journey, or to go back to oneself along the lines of feeling. Somehow the connection can be revived as identification.
Saturn
Saturn as touchstone plays a role in both cases of "withholdding" and "persisting". In the first case as fear, in the second as a condensed ego drive. Finally he also plays an essential role in the "realization" of the Ascendantpoint as the point forming solist. Thus, finally coming to his true value, he emerges here as the root point where he identifies with the incarnation-song offering it a good or bad adhesion.
The Pars and the Solar Principle
These images and horoscopic tendencies may contain clues to the question about the underlying Solar Principle.
The Pars Fortunae has no influence of its own in the field of the horoscope. The aspects on the Pars therefore have no influence within the sphere of the Moon nor in that of the rulers. The Pars serves as a representative of the center and indicates in which direction the person has moved away from that it. We find the Pars in the house opposite to it. Thus, in the Pars Fortunae, an indication can be found for the born one in which direction he or she can move to come into contact with this Solar Principle. Thus, in the state of the Pars with its aspects in house and zodiacal sign, we can find a clue for the answer to the question of the essential origin of the born one. As a rule, this will be the keystone of the interpretation.
